Stomping Ground. Moorabbin
9 Cochranes Road
Moorabbin VIC 3189
Family friendly beer hall + brewery
Open daily from 11:30am
As someone who doesn’t drink beer, the fact that I’ve visited Stomping Ground Moorabbin multiple times says a lot - it’s not just about the drinks, it’s about the vibe and their accessibility that definitely hits the mark!
There’s a small step at the main entrance, but a large, graduated ramp just past the door makes access easy for wheelchairs, scooters, and prams. Once you’re inside, everything is flat and spacious, staying true to that classic beer hall style.
Located in a former cigarette factory, the venue has two main indoor areas (plus the outdoor deck). The front area has a mix of high and low tables, perfect for groups big or small! On the other side of the bar is the undercover beer garden. The space is more open with pub-style tables leading to a kids playground - an ideal setup for families and bigger groups. The central bar is a feature, making it easy to grab a drink no matter where you’re seated.
The accessible toilet is located on the ground floor, down the hallway opposite the kitchen. It’s equipped with grab rails, a backrest, and sufficient space. (Note: The standard toilets are upstairs)
There’s a dedicated car park right out the front with a few accessible spots. It is however only available outside of the hours Mon-Fri 9-5. There’s street parking available a short walk away.
The dog friendly policy and relaxed, family oriented atmosphere make this spot a winner. For me, great access and a warm, welcoming vibe are what bring me back here, even as a non-beer drinker! This brewery is proof that good access makes for loyal customers. Cheers to that
