Alfa Bakehouse. Seddon
One of my absolute go-to's in the inner west is Alfa Bakehouse in Seddon! If you love a good sandwich bar like me, this spot is for you.
Entering is a breeze with step free access via a wide door on Victoria Street.
Once inside, the space has a distinct industrial vibe - it’s a big, open cafe flooded with natural light streaming through floor-to-ceiling windows. The layout is thoughtfully designed, offering plenty of standard height tables and chairs, along with booth seating along the windows and near the open kitchen. There’s enough room to navigate with mobility aids, and it’s a popular spot for families and mums with prams; a reliable sign of good accessibility.
Past the counter and kitchen, you’ll find an accessible toilet. Although the space is a bit tight due to the baby change table, it’s still functional. I’d recommend moving the change table so it’s not directly in front of the toilet.
There’s one accessible spot on Austin Street and there’s street parking available too.
With consistently great coffee, a killer gluten free toastie, and hassle free access, I’ve become a bit of a regular. Highly recommend it.
