Bombay on Bay. Port Melbourne

Port Melbourne VIC 3207

Contemporary Indian cuisine

Tuesday - Sunday: 5pm-10pm

Closed Monday

If you’re after some contemporary Indian cuisine, make sure to pay a visit to Bombay on Bay.

A nice wide footpath leads straight inside to a vibrant modern restaurant with a colourful interior. It’s a small space but they do have tables that are more easily accessible than others; so I’d recommend to make a note when booking if you require wheelchair access. There’s tables out the front for when it’s warmer! I did transfer onto a chair and the staff were able to place my scooter off the restaurant floor.

For a small restaurant I was super impressed that they’ve dedicated so much space to an accessible toilet. It’s huge. There’s no backrest on the actual toilet.

For anyone who is familiar with Port Melbourne, you’ll know the parking situation is not the best. There’s street parking around but not many accessible spots - I only found one around the corner on Bay Street. There is a paid carpark on Rouse Street and another down Little Bay Street.

Food is fresh + fab. I’ve been here more than once and would definitely return!
