Brunetti Classico. Carlton
If you’re a Melbournian, you’ve probably heard of Brunetti, one of Melbourne’s most iconic cafes.
Large and impressive in size, the interior has a real wow factor (if you’re not distracted by all the desserts!). Nearly all tables are standard height and chairs have backrests apart from the coffee counter in the middle that has bar stools. There’s no shortage of tables and there’s plenty of room to navigate all throughout the venue and choose where to sit.
Not one but two step free entries via the Lygon St frontage or Lygon Court shopping centre.
The toilets are down the very back of the cafe. The accessible toilet requires you to ask the staff for a key. I don’t mind this at all; it means the toilets are kept clean and only used by those that require it. It ticks all the boxes for me.
There’s some scattered accessible parking spots on Faraday and Drummond Streets as well as street parking. There’s an underground carpark at Lygon Court with a lift that will bring you up right outside Brunetti.
Super modern but with a real sense of nostalgia! Authentic coffee and cakes galore. Cannoli is my personal fave and I made sure to take a few home with me. The access is a big A+ from me
