Central Club Hotel. North Melbourne
Located in a prime North Melbourne location, directly across from the Queen Vic Market, Central Club Hotel stands out for its excellent accessibility, with a private event space downstairs that’s fully accessible – a big win!
The pub has a wide, step free entrance, on Victoria Street making it super easy to access.
Once inside, the vibe is instant warmth – the freshly renovated corner pub has a great mix of dining tables up front, with the bar and cosy seating on the other side. The variety of seating is a real highlight, letting you pick what works best for you, and there’s enough room to move around.
Bonus points for the awesome staff who offered to show me the private event space downstairs. It’s accessed via a lift, and it’s a fab option for private dining or small functions – and yep, it’s all accessible!
There’s also an accessible toilet on the ground floor, fully equipped with grab rails and a backrest.
As for parking, there are 4 accessible spots across the road in the market carpark and 3 more along Therry Street, with street parking on O’Connell Street too. These spots are hard to grab on market days, which can be pretty busy.
With its laid back vibe, perfect for a pub meal or a drink, I felt super welcomed, and it’s clear they’ve put some thought into access. I’ll definitely be back!
