Melbourne VIC 3000

Elevated CBD cafe

Monday - Wednesday: 7am-5pm

Thursday + Friday: 7am-7pm

Saturday: 8am-3pm

Nestled in the chic Paris end of Collins Street, Dame Melbourne is an all-day dining cafe that serves delicious brunch food in an elevated accessible space.

The entrance to Dame is easily accessible through the Collins Place Atrium, featuring a wide step-free door that ensures smooth entry.

Once inside, you’ll love the light and airy vibe. While the space isn’t huge, there’s a mix of seating options to suit everyone. There’s two communal high tables with stools on the right when you walk in. On the left, there are standard-height tables. The larger round tables by the windows offer more space - I chose to sit here as there was enough room beside the table to leave my scooter. If you’re in a pair, there are tables for two with couch seating which may not be suitable for those requiring more space. And if the weather’s nice, the atrium seating out front is also an option.

They have easy access to an accessible toilet within the lobby of the building. It is to the left of the lifts. The toilet is spacious and has a backrest.

There’s actually seven accessible spots in the area! One right out front on Collins Street it you’re lucky, one further down Collins over Exhibition Street. Plus two more around the corner on Exhibition Street, and another three around the corner on Spring Street!

Dame Melbourne is a fab spot that mixes style with accessibility. Next time, I’m thinking cocktail hour over coffee!
