Mount Erica Hotel. Prahran
Classic corner pub Mount Erica Hotel offers the perfect blend of coziness and accessibility, along with top notch pub food.
The entrance is step free via the on-site carpark, leading through the courtyard straight inside.
Inside, you’ll find a spacious pub with separate areas: a dining room, a lounge, and a front bar. The dining room, with its cozy fireplace and standard-height tables and chairs, is busy for a Friday lunch. For something quieter with more space, the side room has plenty of room for mobility aids and prams. The front bar wraps around the corner and features high bar tables and stools. Wide walkways make it easy to navigate between areas, ensuring plenty of room to move around.
The accessible toilet is easy to get to thanks to the wide walkway, but it was a bit of a let down, lacking a backrest and being used to store high chairs, which impacts the space unfortunately.
The on-site carpark is handy but lacks a dedicated accessible spot. I was able to find street parking on High Street as the carpark was full.
A warm and welcoming pub with great food; simply decluttering the toilet would make this an A+ venue.
