The rooftop at QT is one of the best spots in Melbourne for an afternoon wine, serving up incredible city skyline views from level 11 of hotel @qtmelbourne. And the best part? It’s easily accessible!
To reach the rooftop, take the lift located just behind the check-in desks up to level 11. The hotel lobby is spacious and easy to navigate, making for a smooth entry.
The rooftop is split into two areas: the indoor space, featuring a striking green bar, and the outdoor terrace. Inside there’s plenty of space however the seating is limited to high bar stools and booths, which might not work for everyone. Thankfully, the outdoor terrace is a better option, with a mix of bar stools and lower lounge chairs around small tables. There’s plenty of shade, plus water fans to keep things cool on a hot day. Navigating the space on my scooter was easy, with enough room to move comfortably.
The accessible toilet is located down the hall near the lifts. It’s spacious, well-designed, and includes grab rails and a backrest - always a win!
Parking is convenient, with five accessible spots on Russell Street right out the front, one just around the corner on Bourke Street and another on Collins Street.
Even in winter, this rooftop is a great choice, with plenty of cover to protect from Melbourne’s famously unpredictable weather. With easy access, a great atmosphere, and stunning views, it’s a spot high on my list for a drink any time of year!
