Square One Rialto. CBD
Square One Rialto, the new flagship cafe by Square One Coffee Roasters is found at the base of the Rialto building in the CBD. Now open for trade on Saturdays, it’s a gorgeous fit out and it’s very much accessible!
Sitting on the corner of Collins Street and King Street, the entrance on Collins Street is nice and wide and completely flat.
The 120 seat cafe is instantly roomy when you enter with plenty of space in between tables and lots of room to leave aids or prams next to you. All of the tables are standard height and chairs have backrests apart from one communal high table with stools. There is an upstairs section here which is smaller - this is accessed via the staircase inside or there’s step free entrance which requires you to enter via the Rialto concourse. Everything is available at ground level though so I didn’t need to go up there.
There’s a big accessible toilet at ground level that ticks all the boxes. There’s a baby change table too.
I went on a Saturday so found street parking at this end of Collins Street quite easy. I can imagine it’s busier during the week. I didn’t find any accessible spots nearby but there is a Wilson carpark across the road.
With a seasonal rotating menu designed by 10 star chefs and 10% of profit going to Common Ground Project, this spot is definitely worth a visit if you’re in the city.
