Supernormal. CBD
180 Flinders Lane,
Melbourne VIC 3000
Contemporary Asian Inspired Restaurant
Open 7 days 12pm to late
If there’s one restaurant I’ll always rave about, it’s Supernormal! A Melbourne institution, serving up consistently incredible Asian inspired food. But what’s the access like? Let me take you inside!
A wide, flat entrance on Flinders Lane gets you straight into the buzz of the restaurant.
This spot never sleeps, so I always make sure to book a table. Despite the energy, the space inside doesn’t feel too crowded - there’s enough room to comfortably navigate between tables. Seating is a mix of standard tables and chairs, booths, and bar seating overlooking the open kitchen. I sat in a booth towards the back, and there was plenty of space to leave my scooter so it was out of the walkway.
The accessible toilet is downstairs, don’t worry - there’s a lift to get you there! It’s really roomy and the toilet has a backrest. There’s also a private dining room on this lower level.
For parking, the Wilson carpark directly across the road (entry via Flinders St) allows you to exit on Flinders Lane opposite Supernormal making it really easy. If you’re looking for an accessible street spot, the nearest is on Russell Street, there’s another 4 on Russell over Collins Street and 1 around the corner on Collins Street.
On top of the amazing food, the service here is next level. The staff are incredibly knowledgeable and make sure you have an unforgettable experience.
If you leave without trying the lobster roll and peanut butter parfait, did you even go to Supernormal?! ✨
