Modern Chinese in a restored 1883 pub

Open 7 days 12pm-late

Any pub you can get dumplings and cocktails at is my kinda pub! Albert Park Hotel features a modern Chinese restaurant at ground level and is fully accessible.

Three step free entrances here, giving you options for ease of access. One entrance on Dundas Place that opens to the front bar, and two automatic doors on Montague Street that enter at the restaurant side.

The space inside is large and open with an atrium and lots of greenery. The front bar is busy with high tables and stools and is great for drinks. I chose to eat at the restaurant, Happy Valley, which is down the back opposite the main bar. This area is carpeted and all tables + chairs are standard height. Chairs have backrests. It’s a little tight to move in between tables but staff were able to place me at a suitable table with enough space to get my scooter in. There’s a cocktail lounge on the second level with lift access.

The accessible toilet is behind the main bar down a hallway. There’s 2 doors to get into the toilet - both are heavy and not automated so I needed help to open them. The toilet inside is really big with a baby change table.

There’s 5 accessible parking spots nearby. 2 on Dundas Place, 1 on Montague Street, Birdport Street, and Faussett Street. Street parking available too.

A deck out front that is accessible and plenty of tables outside with umbrellas makes the Albert Park Hotel a very popular spot when the sun’s out!
