Fable Melbourne. CBD
On the 13th level of the Greek Community Building, you’ll find the highest rooftop bar in the CBD Fable Melbourne. Accessible, with an extensive cocktail list and an entirely gluten free Mediterranean menu.
You’ll see a small Fable sign at 168 Exhibition Street. Enter into the foyer via the glass automated doors and take the lift up to the 13th floor. All step free and straightforward. Once out on the 13th floor, the entrance to Fable is on the narrow side.
Walking in you’re met with incredible views of the city. They have a retractable awning and heaters for winter so it’s an all year round rooftop! There’s a mix of high tables and stools, booth seating and some standard tables + chairs tucked to the side. I was seated in the side area with the standard tables. It did feel a little separate to the main area which perhaps had a better vibe. Not as much room in the main area for aids to be left next to you; the side area where I sat had a touch more room.
The toilet is on the 5th floor of the building. A staff member does need to take you down the lift as this floor is not accessible to the public without a pass. The toilet is big and works well. You can use the lift from here to go back up or down without a pass.
There’s parking nearby at the QV carpark on Lonsdale Street or a Wilson carpark on Russell Street. One accessible spot on Russell Street just over Little Bourke.
I eat gluten free so this one was a bonus for me! If you’re into creative cocktails with a twist, go check this spot out.
