Rosso Coffee Experience. North Melbourne
I love the vibe of a converted warehouse cafe and Rosso Coffee Experience in North Melbourne is no exception! The transformed space is incredible but keep reading to hear why the toilet missed the mark.
The main entrance has one step up, however a huge roller door on Dryburgh Street allows you to enter completely step free into a big open space!
As expected, this place is huge inside with high ceilings, and lots of space in between tables allowing me to navigate around without worry. There’s a few different seating options, standard tables + chairs (some stools, some with backrests), round tables, or high tables with bar stools. You’ll find they have tables in different parts of the warehouse so you can choose what works best for you.
The toilet is the only let down here. I was told it was accessible, however when I got there the toilet is ambulant at best. It’s a little bit wider than a standard toilet with the addition of a single grab rail. I couldn’t navigate it with my scooter - perhaps a drive in and reverse out situation. It might work for you if you’re ok with an ambulant toilet.
I did a few laps of the area to find suitable parking. It’s all street parking - you might be lucky to get one out the front or around the corner. I did manage to find one accessible spot on Queensberry Street.
Toilet aside, I’d come back here for the excellent coffee! I enjoyed the laid back atmosphere and big open space.
