Four Pillars Distillery. Healesville
If you’re a gin fan like me, you’ve probably tried gin of the Four Pillars variety! Fancy a daytrip or weekender? Just over 1 hour from Melbourne, you’ll find their modern distillery in Healesville.
Step free entry; in fact the whole place is flat. Paths are nice and wide and so are the doorways so it’s really easy to get around.
The space inside is impressive with high ceilings and a whole heap of room to navigate. Two different areas to choose to sit - the main area inside has wooden tables with a mix of standard and high tables. Chairs have backrests (so do the stools) and there’s bench seating by the window side. A heated gin garden outside with lots of standard tables, stools and bench seats. The stools out here don’t have backrests. I sat inside to sample a G+T paddle and grab a bite to eat. The gourmet mini pies were so good I had to order a second round.
There’s an accessible toilet inside the main dining area. It’s big, has a backrest and a baby change table.
Two accessible parking spots directly out the front on Lilydale Road. Lots of parallel parking on the street as well.
If I had to pick a favourite it’s the Yuzu Gin! Eating out (or drinking) is so much more enjoyable when access is easy, am I right?! Highly recommend this one.
