Hawker Hall. Windsor
Inspired by Malaysia and Singapore’s vibrant street food culture, Hawker Hall has the feel of a hawker centre with accessibility considered.
A nice long ramp takes you inside Hawker Hall. It’s a very gradual rise so it feels nice and safe.
The brick lined former horse stable is huge, seating 160 people. Lots of different seating options including standard tables + chairs with backrests, bar tables and stools or booth seating. I was able to choose a suitable table with enough room to leave my scooter next to me.
The accessible toilet is down the very back of the venue past the kitchen. I was sitting at the front of the venue so it’s a fair way down the back and is a little narrow to navigate past tables and diners in some parts but absolutely manageable. The accessible toilet has a baby change table.
Parking isn’t easy on Chapel Street and it’s what brings their overall score down. I couldn’t find any accessible spots nearby. Head to Green Street; there’s quite a lot of parallel parking there that I found ok.
Well worth checking out their new weekday lunch specials or maybe you’re more into a weekend boozy brunch!
