The Clarendon. South Melbourne
Located on the corner of York and Clarendon Streets, the ground floor of the historic Clarendon Hotel has recently been transformed into a stylish Asian fusion dining experience, The Clarendon.
The entrance is step free with the inclusion of a threshold ramp. A well considered addition that makes all the difference.
The spacious layout inside makes it simple to navigate to your table. All tables are standard height, chairs have backrests and there’s also some booth seating. There’s plenty of room for mobility aids or prams at most tables - I was able to choose a spot that worked well for me.
The accessible toilet is generously sized and has a backrest, though it lacks a baby change table, it does feature a shower.
The accessible parking is super close on York Street. There’s also 2 spots nearby on Coventry Street.
The midweek lunch special is a must-try; the prawn laksa is my pick! I’m already planning my next visit to the rooftop bar Mirror Mirror Rooftop which I’ve heard is just as accessible,
