Sitting next to the iconic Queen Vic Market is brand new spot ST. ALi & The Queen for coffee meets cocktails! If you like your coffee, wine + people watching in the sun, this spot is for you.
Located on Therry St side of the market, St Ali & The Queen has outside and indoor seating options. I chose to sit outside as it was a nice day and I found there to be much more space. They have more suitable chairs with backrests outside and tables are standard height. There’s enough room to leave aids or prams next to your table too. Indoors is on the smaller side. Tables are small round tables for 2, with either stools without backrests or couch/bench seating. Both of these options would have been tricky for me. Perhaps if you don’t need to transfer it would be fine, but I prefer a bit more space. I did really like the completely flat, wide footpath that is used for the outdoor seating.
The flat surface transitions straight inside as well, although the entrance is a little tight if people are sitting outside.
Accessible shared toilets are located directly next door. You’ll need a fob from the staff to access the big metal door to the toilet. It’s big inside and has a backrest.
There’s 1 accessible park out front on the market side. There’s also the market carpark around the corner as well as street parking.
ST. ALi & The Queen is perfect when you can’t decide between coffee and wine - get both!
